Precautions for the Use and Maintenance of Multi Wedge Belt in Longmen Surface Grinding Machine

The grinding head of the gantry surface grinder is driven by a multi wedge belt and is a vulnerable component. When frequent replacement and disassembly are required, loosen the nut at the bottom of the grinding head motor and adjust the motor base

Reduce the center distance between the motor spindle and the grinding head spindle, then remove the V-belt from the pulley and install a new V-belt.

But some users do not pay attention to whether the motor spindle is adjusted to a horizontal position when replacing the motor. Before use, simply pull up the motor with the adjusting bolt and adjust a large number of wedges.

The pre tightening force of the belt will quickly damage the belt, and the powder will not fall off from the belt. It should be noted that the motor spindle must be leveled, otherwise the pulley may damage the belt due to adjusting the pre tension of multiple belts.

At this point, first tighten the bottom nut above the rear of the motor, then adjust the bolt upwards to make it easy to pull up the front of the motor, and then tighten the motor

Loosen the nuts above the front and rear ends of the motor, then adjust the bolts upwards and repeat the adjustment until the motor spindle is level.

Longmen surface grinder reminds that the pre tightening force of multiple belts should be appropriate at the same time, and all four nuts at the bottom corner of the motor should be tightened. When installing multiple belts, please wipe off the lubricating grease on the pulleys.

There is too much oil. When the grinding feed rate is large, the multi belt will slip, manifested as the relative motion between the grinding wheel and the workpiece, that is, the grinding wheel suddenly stops. In addition, the pre tightening force of the multi wedge belt should not be too small, otherwise it will slip and make abnormal sounds.
