What methods can be used to classify and distinguish faults in CNC grinding machines

In fact, grinding machines have long existed in our daily lives. As is well known, in the manufacturing and processing industry, CNC grinding machines play a significant role in factories, and the grinding and processing of products cannot be separated from them. There are many types of grinding machines for polishing products, not just CNC grinding machines. However, among all the grinding machines in Hangzhou, CNC grinding machines are the most particularly useful and popular. Although there are various types of CNC systems for CNC grinders, regardless of the type of CNC system, the following methods can be used for comprehensive identification when problems arise.

(1) Intuitive method: It utilizes human senses to pay attention to the occurrence of problems and identify their possible locations. If there is a problem, check where there is abnormal noise or sparks, burnt areas, and abnormal heating phenomena, and then further investigate the surface condition of each circuit board that may have a problem, such as whether there are burnt or blackened areas on the circuit board, or whether there are areas where electronic components have exploded, in order to further reduce the inspection scale. This is the most basic and simple method, but it requires machine tool maintenance personnel to have a certain level of maintenance experience.

(2) The hardware alarm function of the CNC grinding machine used in the CNC system: the alarm indicator light can identify the location of the problem. There are many alarm indicators on the hardware circuit board of the CNC system, which can roughly identify the location of the problem.

(3) Fully utilize the software alarm function of the CNC system: All CNC systems have self diagnostic functions. During system operation, self diagnostic programs can be used to quickly diagnose the system. Once a fault is detected, the system will immediately display the fault on the screen or turn on various alarm lights. During the maintenance process, the location of the machine tool malfunction can be identified based on the alarm prompts.

(4) Using the status display diagnostic function: The CNC system can not only display fault diagnosis information, but also provide various diagnostic conditions of the machine tool in the form of diagnostic addresses and diagnostic data. For example, the input/output signal conditions of the interface between the system and the machine tool, or the input/output signal conditions of the interface between the PC and the CNC equipment, or the input/output signal conditions between the PC and the machine tool, can be displayed on the screen to check whether the CNC system has input signals to the machine tool, or whether the switch information of the machine tool has been input to the CNC system. In summary, the problem can be divided into whether it is on the machine tool side or the CNC system side, and then the scale of viewing the CNC machine tool problem can be reduced.

(5) When a CNC grinder malfunctions, the parameters of the CNC system should be checked in a timely manner: changes in system parameters can directly affect the performance of the machine tool, and even cause machine tool failures, making the entire machine tool inoperable. External interference may cause individual parameters in memory to change, so when the machine encounters some incredible problems, the parameters of the CNC system can be checked.

(6) Method for replacing spare parts for CNC grinding machines: When analyzing machine tool failures and discovering that it may be occasional faults in the circuit board, a spare board can be used for replacement, which can quickly determine the faulty circuit board. However, when using this method, the following two points should be noted:

① Pay attention to the orientation of each adjustable switch on the circuit board. When replacing a circuit board, it is important to ensure that the settings of the two boards being replaced are completely consistent, otherwise it may cause the system to become unstable or not in its optimal state, and even trigger an alarm.

② After replacing certain circuit boards (such as CCU boards), it is necessary to reset or input machine parameters and programs from scratch.
